Description
Español: La obra representa a San Francisco de Asís, el fundador de la Orden de los franciscanos. El santo aparece arrodillado, con las manos cruzadas sobre el pecho, y dirigiendo su mirada hacia un crucifijo. Junto a este, y sobre el saliente de una roca, aparecen un libro y una calavera, con lo que se crea un contexto meditativo. El santo resulta identificable por su hábito pardo y por el largo cordón que ciñe su cintura y cae hasta el suelo. La escena se desarrolla en un abrigo rocoso, y en la parte superior izquierda es posible ver un fragmento de celaje.
