English: German taleteller, writer and progressive educator Martin Luserke (1880–1968) as teacher and headmaster of progressive boarding school Schule am Meer on the East Frisian island Juist in Prussia using a loud hailer/megaphone in the mornings to wake up the scholars with a seamanly "rise, rise...". One day some late risers tried to hinder this when they clogged the magaphone, but it didn't prevent them from rising-up early at 6:40 a.m. to start the day when running through the dunes for early morning gymnastics and to the beach for a dip in the cold Sea.
