English: Memorial bench for Primrose Colliery disaster This bench was placed as a memorial to an accident in Primrose Colliery in 1858 which claimed the lives of 14 miners (men and boys) and 7 horses.
The bench is on the southeast corner of the junction. Primrose Colliery used to be somewhere at the end of Primrose Lane which now runs west from this junction.
