English: The earliest example of visual poetry in America—is the original maquette for a printed version published in the avant-garde magazine 291. The work is both a drawing and a poem by caricaturist Marius de Zayas (1880–1961) and the American journalist and art patron Agnes Ernst Meyer (1887–1970). The Gallery had acquired the printed version—the April 1915 issue of 291—a year earlier.
