Summary
| Description |
English: Swans Island (now called the Island of Memory) is in the middle of the Goldenhead Park lake. The scale of the Monument to the War Dead is daunting. Tony Garnier was the architect. Jean Larrive sculpted the cenotaph in the background (finished by his brother Auguste after Jean-Baptiste's death), and the sculpture in the foreground (Victory) is the work of the Viennois Claude Grange.
Français : L'île aux cygnes (maintenant plus souvent appelé L'île du souvenir) est au milieu du lac de la parc de la tête d'or. L'échelle du Monument aux morts est redoutable.
