  • Object: Combined railway/road lift dubbledecker bridge in Kaliningrad.
  • Description: This bridge across river Pregolya (Преголя) is use by both rail and road transport. Therefore, bridge has two levels: lower for cars and pedesrians and higher for trains. Middle section of the bridge can move vertically to let the ships pass. There is an overhead power line for railway electrification mounted on the two towers. The line connects to an old electricity pylon (left) for the river crossing, which was built around 1920 as part of an 60-kV power line to the Elbing power station. The electricity pylon is removed today.
