Mouse-ear Chickweed (Cerastium vulgatum) is a mat forming perennial plant. It is a major weed in closely mown turf, as it tolerates a low cutting height. It thrives in heavy soils, especially where the drainage is poor.
The flowers are white and contain 5 deeply lobed petals, which give the appearance of 10 petals.
