English: Medallion d. = 81 mm. 184.78 g Ag 0.990 lightly gilt Fine Silver.

This large medal was given by the city of Nürnberg to the Royalties attending the ceremony of the unveiling of the monument in honour of Kaiser Wilhelm I on 14 December 1905 in Nuremberg. It is very rare in this size.

Wilhelm I, German Emperor, 1871 - 1888

Laureate bust r., around: "WILHELM- I. DEVTSCHER- KAISER."/ The monument: Wilhelm I on horseback r., 2 lines at l.: "1905 NÜRNBERG". At l. above the arms of Nuremberg. LL Ball 28 (1935), No 32579; Erlanger 664.

Condition : EXTREMELY FINE+, a tiny edge nick at 7 o'clock on the reverse.
