English: National Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima[1]The National Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima (Filipino: Pambansang Dambana ng Birhen ng Fatima) is a Philippine apostolate of Our Lady of Fatima in Fátima, Portugal which is recognized by the Philippine Roman Catholic Church.The shrine is located inside the Our Lady of Fatima University[2] campus in Marulas, Valenzuela City.[3] The shrine is declared as one of the three major pilgrimage site aside from the National Shrine of St. Anne in Hagonoy and the National Shrine of Divine Mercy in Marilao.[4] [5] [6] The statue, venerated in the National Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima in Karuhatan, Valenzuela City is one of the official portraits of the National Pilgrim Image of Our Lady of Fatima that was launched during the Marian Year of 2004. The image is one of the original statues blessed by the Servant of God Pope Paul VI and was later brought to the Philippines and crowned as the National Pilgrim Image during the launching of the National Marian Year in December 1984. It was subsequently entrusted to Bahay Maria for care and protection until it was permanently handed to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima on October 17, 1999. The Pilgrim Image was the forefront of the “EDSA People Power Revolution” in 1986 where Our Lady, through the image, showed her maternal protection to our people. Oliveros of the Diocese of Malolos at 6 p.m. This will be followed with a Golden Year Grand Procession at 7:30 p.m. Established in 1961 when Bulacan was still a part of the Archdiocese of Manila, then Cardinal Rufino Santos designated Msgr. Espiritu D. Izon as parish priest of Our Lady of Fatima. Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Manila [10] It is under the Vicariate of St. Didacus of Alcala - Valenzuela City[11] and belongs to he Roman Catholic Diocese of Malolos.
