English: The reactor core of TRR-1/M1 operates at 2 MW (thermal) as its steady state. TTR-1/M1 are being utilized in many ways such as the production of I-131 and Sm153, or gemstone coloration. The blue light from the reactor is caused by Cherenkov radiation.
