DescriptionOne University Circle, University Circle, Cleveland, OH (27675714237).jpg
This new condo tower is located on Euclid Avenue at University Circle in Cleveland’s University Circle neighborhood. Constructed in 2017-18, the One University Circle Tower is the first phase of a multi-phase multi family housing development that will eventually ring the south side of the old traffic circle that gave the surrounding neighborhood its name around the turn of the 20th Century. The building was built on the site of the former Cleveland Children’s Museum, which was located in a tent-like structure constructed in the 1980s on the same site, and was surrounded by parking lots. This tower is one of many new developments in this portion of the city, which are intended to transform the area from a collection of cultural institutions, educational institutions, and medical facilities into a full-fledged, vibrant, and mixed-use neighborhood. With many new developments on the horizon for the surrounding areas and the lack of existing buildings ripe for reuse, I see many such projects in store for this corner of the city in the future.
