DescriptionOwey Island from north end of Cruit Island - geograph.org.uk - 1168445.jpg
English: Owey Island from north end of Cruit Island Daniel O'Donnell's mother Julia grew up as a child on Owey Island where fishmermen and their families once lived. Owey Island was later abandoned, as were most of the island off the west coast of Ireland over time. Today, no one lives there except for some people who reside there without electricity and water during the summer months.
