Description
English: Park Seo-Bo, the Korean painter known for Ecriture or Dansaekhwa, is working alone at his new studio in Seoul in February 2019. He has turned 89 years old in Korean age. He suffers from chronic diseases with age but tries to feel alive again with pencil and brush. He is awaiting his second retrospective exhibition scheduled to open on May 17, 2019 at National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul, Korea.
한국어: 단색화 혹은 묘법으로 알려져 있는 대한민국의 화가 박서보가 2019년 2월, 89세의 나이로 그의 새 작업실에서 혼자 조용히 작업 중이다. 여러 가지 고질병으로 계속해서 아프고 체력도 급격히 떨어졌지만, 자신이 살 길은 작업 뿐이라며 한동안 손 놓았던 붓을 들고 떨리는 손으로 매일 작업을 하고 있다. 그는 현재 국립현대미술관 서울관에서 2019년 5월 17일에 열릴 두번째 회고전을 기다리고 있다.
