Description A monument, created by one man in a time of 25 years, from 1924 to 1949. The location high above the Walensee (Lake Walen) on 1282 m.ü.M. (4206 ft asl) is a so-called hotspot or energy-place. During the construction, Karl Bickel worked as a freelancer for the printing and stamps department of the post administration in Bern. In 1966 he gave the monument to the Swiss PTT enterprises. The artist died in 1982, 33 years after the completion of this work, here on the mountain. The bare brickwork is made of limestone blocks of the rocks from the near Churfirsten mountains behind. In June and July 2007 there were even weddings at this location.
