Description
English: Rest in Prowess (phingbodhipakkiya_amanda_08.jpg)

Completed: September 2019 Dimensions: Three 2.5’ x 6’ trays and three 6’ wide projections Materials: wood, grass, wire, projectors, glass beads

A reimagined graveyard. Projecting images and words that represent the memories of powerful women, above a small grassy fields filled with dozens upon dozens of white neuron-shaped wires. The fields represent the cross-section of the hippocampus, the area of the brain neuroscientists believe plays a crucial role in storing memories. Each wire represents a hippocampal neuron and is linked to a personal memory of an exceptional woman who has since passed.
