Description
English: Military members from the Dominican Republic, Honduras, and Nicaragua plot coordinates on a nautical chart during a Coast Guard Auxiliary taught course during the 4th day of Tradewinds 2009, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Saturday March 7, 2009. This exercise is intended to provide peacetime training opportunities to improve the coordination and cooperation between the United States and civil and military forces throughout the region. It enabled U.S. military units to deploy to overseas locations to assist in relief operations and critical interagency operations. U.S. Coast Guard photo/ Petty Officer 1st Class Christopher Evanson.
