English: Porkeri is a village in Suðuroy, Faroe Islands. Kambur is a 206 meter high mountain, located on the northern side of Porkeri. Porkeri and Kambur are located on the east coast of Suðuroy. South of Hov and north-east of Vágur. The old church of Porkeri is to the left on this photo, it has turf roof. The church was built in 1847. The school is the red building with turf roof in the center of this photo.
