English: Newton Street, Glasgow, Scotland looking north north east, with the M8 motorway running below. Portcullis House (the red brick building) constructed in the early 1970s for Strathclyde Regional Council and was later used by Glasgow City Council and HMRC. As of 2024 the structure has been partially demolished to make way for a potential student housing development. The hotel tower of the neighbouring Elmbank Gardens complex is visible in the background.
