Deutsch: Südostansicht der röm.-kath. Pfarrkirche Zur Hl. Familie in der niederösterreichischen Marktgemeinde Prinzersdorf. Der expressionistische Bau in Skelettbauweise mit einem 36 Meter hohen, beherrschendem Fassadenturm sowie an- und absteigend konstruierten Dächern, stellt das „Schiff Petri“ dar und hat rund 400 Sitzplätze. Er wurde ab 1961 nach Plänen von Julius Bergmann erbaut und am 10. Juli 1966 vom St. Pöltner Bischof Franz Zak geweiht. Im gleichen Jahr wurde der Sitz der Pfarre von Gerersdorf nach Prinzersdorf verlegt und der Name der Pfarre in „Gerersdorf-Prinzersdorf“ umgewandelt. Seither handelt es sich faktisch um eine Doppelpfarre. Das monumentale Mosaik der Heiligen Familie an der Ostfassade ist ein Werk von Hermann Bauch und wurde 1968 geweiht. |
