Summary

Description
English: The reactive flash volatilization of nonvolatile fluids such as soybean oil (triglycerides) or sugar (glucose) occurs in an 18 mm diameter quartz reactor tube about 5 inches long. Fluid fuels are applied directly to a Rh-Ce/alumina catalyst foam support by an automotive fuel injector. Air is supplied co-currently to maintain a fuel-rich environment. Complete reaction occurs in milliseconds to equilibrium selectivity to synthesis gas.
