Summary

Description
English: RAGE is a cell surface receptor consisting of three extracellular immunoglobulin-like domains—a V-type domain and two C-type domains—a transmembrane domain (TM), and an intracellular domain (ID) essential for signaling. When RAGE is activated by its ligands, it recruits and binds to the intracellular formin protein DIAPH1, triggering pathological signaling pathways that can cause oxidative stress, inflammation, cellular dysfunction, and apoptosis.
