English: An excerpt from the Annals of Ulster containing the name of Ragnall mac Somairle (died between 1192–1227). This excerpt is from folio 62 verso of MS. Rawl. B. 489. The annal in question refers to an event dated 1212, and concerns a military expedition in which Ragnall's sons were participants.

Author Ruaidhri Ó Luinín (died 1528). The manuscript itself was composed by several scribes, although the scribe who wrote this particular annal-entry was Ruaidhri Ó Luinín.
