DescriptionRed Bank carriage sidings 1989 - geograph.org.uk - 820193.jpg
English: Red Bank carriage sidings 1989. Several sets of carriage sidings existed on the lines approaching Manchester Victoria from the east. Red Bank was the largest after the steam age, but was in steady decline after many services were switched from Manchester Victoria to Manchester Piccadilly in 1988. Compare the skyline and foreground with my similar photographs from 1991 829501 and 2008 804804.
