This particular image was created by Bernard Grover using the Seal found on the floor of the Texas capitol as a guide. This particular image is in the public domain by the author's release. This Seal varies from the original Seal of the Republic of Texas in very subtle and specific ways not obvious to the casual observer, and known only to the author. There is a similar image with a period after the word "TEXAS" that IS copyrighted and reserved for specific official use. Also, any image of the Seal bearing other text, such as Secretary of State, or other office, is specifically copyrighted.
The original vector file was created in CorelDraw and it resides only with Bernard Grover. This file includes font identification, PMS color values and other specific information.
Copyright/trademark status of this particular file is public domain; this entity claims to be governmental, and use of the Seal on official documents filed with federal courts and state entities is a matter of public record. It is based on the Seal used by the historical Republic of Texas in the 1800s.
