Living plants usually emit invisible near-infrared light because of the process of photosynthesis. The Infrared False-Color Film Kodak EIR reproduces invisible near-infrared light as red color, visible red light as yellow color and green light as blue color. As the plants in the valley emit infrared and green light, they are rendered as bright magenta (red and blue color).
