English: A photo of Robidoux Pass taken from the East. Robidoux Pass provided emigrants on the overland trails between 1841 and 1869 a relatively gentle passage through the what is known today as the Wildcat Hills escarpment of Western Nebraska. Emigrants used this pass prior to 1851, when improvements to Mitchell Pass provided a more desirable route through Scott's Bluffs, while remaining close to the North Platte River.
Deutsch: Eine Foto von Robidoux Pass, was vom Osten gemacht wurde. Robidoux Pass hatte Emigranten auf den Emigrantenwege zwischen 1841 und 1869 eine sanfte Route angeboten, durch die heutzutage genannte Wildcat Hills von westlich Nebraska. Die Emigranten hatten diesen Bergpass bis zu 1851 benutzen, als Verbesserungen auf Mitchell Pass eine bessere Route durch Scott's Bluffs eingeboten hatten, die näher zum Fluss North Platte blieben. |
