Purpose of use in article (WP:NFCC#8) These provide an illustration of the vessels which the text of the article describes.
Not replaceable with
free media because
(WP:NFCC#1)
Due to research on the sites of the Iazyges being more recent, there are no good illustrations of vessels confirmed to be of the Iazyges type which are copyright free (using the rule of author life +70 years).
Minimal use (WP:NFCC#3) I have selected the best of the illustrations available, so that only one is used, rather than the series of illustrations that are given in the research journal.
Respect for
commercial opportunities
(WP:NFCC#2)
This small scale replication of the work is not commercially harmful to the owner, as it is only a small part of the research journal, and one of several illustration of the subject matter available in the research journal, although it is the best of them.
