Summary

Description Native, cool season, perennial, small, decumbent herb. Stems ascending, much branched and either trailing or forming mats. Leaves are crowded, linear, 5–9 mm long, acute but not pungent-pointed. Flowers are small, pale green and sessile in axillary or terminal clusters, sometimes pedunculate. Calyx lobes are ± acute, spreading and as long as or longer than the calyx tube. Petals are absent. Flowering is in spring. Most common in little-grazed grasslands and grassy woodlands woodlands on dolerite and basalt substrates.
