Berupa perisai kuning, yang di dalamnya terdapat bentuk pohon beringin, lokomotif yang mengepul dalam bentuk garis-garis hitam yang mewujudkan dua sapi beradu muka, kepala kerbau putih berbentuk dangkal. Di bagian tengah terdapat parang, tasbih, dan cemeti. Di bagian bawah terdapat jagung, seni karya, padi, daun tembakau sebelah luar 5 bagian, dalam 4 bagian, serta gunung dan air. Pada bawah lambang terdapat nama kabupaten Bondowoso dan motto daerah Swasthi - bhuwana kṛta. Ditetapkan berdasarkan Peraturan Daerah tentang Lambang Daerah Kabupaten Bondowoso, 1972
