DescriptionShannon Smith Memorial and Madison Meadows Entrance.jpg
English: The Shannon Smith Memorial, built from melted metal from confiscated firearms. It was built in memory of Shannon Smith, who was killed by a stray bullet in Phoenix, Arizona. Her death leads to Shannon's Law, which makes discharging a firearm randomly a class 6 felony. Shannon Smith, having died from a stray bullet killing her in her backyard on June 14th, 1999, leaves the state in a bundle of grief, worry, and courage. Her death is represented in schools, small businesses, and even families. Her death has made our state better. It's almost like her death was her purpose.
