DescriptionSign for the Woolpack - geograph.org.uk - 1721494.jpg
English: Sign for the Woolpack While the Woolpack and the Woolsack may seem to be different versions of the same sign, they are quite different. The Woolpack is a pack of wool weighing 240 lbs while a Woolsack is simply a sack of wool of any weight. These signs grew popular in wool producing areas and also reflect the importance of wool in the country's economy for centuries.
