Summary

Description
English: Signature of Sir Christopher Trychay, Vicar of Morebath in the 1500s. Trychay's meticulous parish accounts formed the basis of Eamon Duffy's 2001 The Voices of Morebath, an award-winning history book on Reformation-era Morebath. "Sir" was the 16th-century equivalent of the modern epithet "Father" used for Catholic priests.
