Sir John St. Clair
Allan Ramsay painted this portrait from life in 1754 upon John St. Clair's (? - 1767) appointment as Deputy Quartermaster General for North America, a position given to him by the Duke of Cumberland. St. Clair served in this position for the Braddock and Forbes Campaigns and was at Fort Ligonier in 1758.
