Sir Ralph Hare, of Stow Bardolf, was created baronetin 1641; High Sheriff in 1650, M.P. for Norfolk 1654, 1656, and1661, and for Lynn 1660. Was one of the excluded, or non-approved, members of Parliament of 1656, and died 1671. He married Vere, the sister of Horatio D. Townshend, oneof the promoters of the Address.
