Iron footbridge built at the Milton Ironworks, Elsecar. A final partial rebuild in 1921 shows that some substantial replacement work was done by "J. Butler & Co Ltd at the Stanningley Ironworks in Leeds. The existing bridge was eventually superseded by the nearby Borough Bridge but has nonetheless remained in place because it also carries a major water pipe over the river.
