English: Southcote junction Southcote junction is the point where the lines from Reading to Basingstoke and Reading to Taunton via Newbury diverge. The 2-car class 165 unit is on a Reading to Basingstoke service. There used to be another junction here, and I am standing on the route of the former Coley branch line that close in 1983. In the background is the road bridge at Bath Road.
