English: Southern Pacific #1269 is an S-12 class 0-6-0 steam locomotive built by the Sacramento Shops of Southern Pacific. Thirty-eight were built at the company shops in Sacramento and Los Angeles. In addition to their yard duties, the 0-6-0’s also served as shop engines or “roadhouse goats”. Currently No. 1269 is stored, unserviceable, at the Niles Canyon Railway in Sunol, California.
