The East Window, 1772, is by William Peckitt. The Virgin and Child with St John and Angels (after Andrea del Sarto's "Corsini Madonna").
The art of glass painting and firing was lost for many years. It was revived in 1752, and William Peckitt of York was a master craftsman. There are examples of his work in York Minster and Lincoln and Exeter Cathedrals.
