English: St. Leonard's Hill. Showing Windsor Castle ... [illegible] Berkshire.
Description
English: A distant prospect of Saint Leonard's Hill in Clewer, Windsow, Berkshire, England, UK, after 1773. It was the seat of Field Marshall William Harcourt, 3rd Earl Harcourt (20 March 1743 – 17 June 1830), and the place where he died. According to the source (p. 280 of the PDF; the pages of the book are unnumbered), "[t]he accompanying view is taken from a point in Windsor Forest, which was politely pointed out by the Countess of Harcourt. This view (which shows but little of the building) gives, perhaps, the best idea of its beautiful situation; showing, at the same time, the Town and Castle of Windsor, with the surrounding Country."
