DescriptionSt Nicholas' church - geograph.org.uk - 1576147.jpg
English: St Nicholas' church. St Nicholas' church > 1576122 - 1576153 was originally dedicated to St Andrew, its present dedication being a result of an error by 18th century antiquarians, who confused (and swapped) dedications with the neighbouring church in South Lopham. St Nicholas' church dates from the 14th century, with the tower having been added a century later. The building was extensively restored in the 19th century. A few original features remain, such as the C14 octagonal font > 1576172 as well as several medieval bench ends which are mounted on C19 benches in the south aisle > 1576168.
