Description
English: Woman photographed on her wedding day, 1941 Young woman photographed on her wedding day in July 1941. During war time, brides often did not wear traditional wedding dress as large numbers of clothing coupons were needed to purchase elaborate clothes. The bride has opted instead for a classic 1940s day dress with a corsage on her left shoulder, a wide-brimmed hat, gloves and a handbag. Her hair is parted at the side, with set curls.
