We travel someway south of Newry to the town of Gorey today. I love this photograph especially the finials atop the telegraph poles and the fancy bed in the right foreground.
Combined with the bed, we have broomsticks outside T Byrne's on the left - making for our first filmic reference: "Bedknobs and Broomsticks". And continuing the movie theme there seems to be a "Man on Ledge" standing entirely outside an upper-floor window of #78 Main Street.
With thanks to the Wexford Echo newspaper poster (also outside Byrne's) and investigations by [/photos/gnmcauley/ Niall McAuley] it seems plausible that we're in the middle of the provided catalogue range - possibly the 1920s...
