Summary

Description
English: Located in the Old First Ward in the shadow of the mighty grain elevators, the Swannie House is Buffalo's second-oldest continually operating bar and restaurant. The working-class and distinctly Irish clientele has not changed much since 1882, when the Swannie House opened its doors to serve the canal workers, grain scoopers, railroad men, and other blue-collar industrial laborers in the neighborhood.
