Description
English: A flowering young specimen of the popular Russian Comfrey cultivar “Bocking #14” that is early, rust resistant, and high in allantoin and potash. It stems from the Vernon Stephenson strain and was released by the Henry Doubleday Research Association (HDRA) in the 1950s. (See Lawrence D. Hills: Comfrey: Past, Present and Future.) Growth from a root cutting planted February 20, 2011, photographed April 27, 2011 (66 days from planting).
Deutsch: Ein blühendes junges Exemplar der beliebten Kultursorte „Bocking #14“ des Futter-Beinwells (Symphytum × uplandicum), die früh austreibt, Resistenz gegen Tannen-Beinwellrost und hohe Gehalten an Allantoin (medizinischer Wirkstoff) und Kalium hat. Sie entstammt der Auslese von Vernon Stephenson und wurde in den 1950er Jahren von der Henry Doubleday Research Association (HDRA) eingeführt. (Siehe Lawrence D. Hills: Comfrey: Past, Present and Future.) Auswuchs eines am 20. Februar 2011 gepflanzten Wurzelstecklings, fotografiert am 27. April 2011 (66 Tage nach Pflanzung).
