Summary

Description
English: Recording of a telegraph message from an underwater submarine telegraph cable on paper tape by a syphon recorder from around 1900. The poor transmission quality of early telegraph cables distorted the signal, making the current pulses representing "dots" and "dashes" of the Morse code very difficult to read.
