A GROUP CAME TO COLLECT TAXES AND A SKIRMISH WAS FOUGHT BETWEEN TORIES AND COLONIALS USING BRICKBATS, AXES, HOES, AND BOILING WATER. BRITISH TROOPS STOPPED HERE TWICE BUT SPARED THE HOUSE SINCE THEY WERE WELL TREATED BY A WELL-KNOWN TORY FAMILY This is an image of a place or building that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places in the United States of America. HOWEVER THE LANE IS GATED AND LOCKED BUT YOU CAN WALK THE LANE FOR ABOUT A MILE TO VIEW THE HOUSE AS PICTURED HERE.

Hutchinson .
