English: Telegraph House, Telegraph Hill. Built as part of a chain of semaphore relaying stations from the Admiralty to Portsmouth Docks in 1823. This one lying between Portsdown Hill and Beacon Hill near East Harting. The exposed position of the houses caused at least two deaths both of whom are said to haunt the house.
