Summary

Description
English: The Slaughterhouse at Royal Clarence Yard is an Italianate style, red-brick building with Grade II Listed Building status. It was built in 1854 following a decision to move the slaughtering facility from its former location close to the mooring for the Royal Yacht due to many complaints from Queen Victoria's Royal Household about 'offensive effluvia' from the old slaughterhouse.
