The locomotives use steam which is keptat 100 lb. pressure, and burn real coal, which is carried in a minia-ture tender behind the miniature engine. The Miniature Railroad Co. has 24 complete trains on the FairGrounds, and has built about 8 miles of miniature track. Each trainconsists of a locomotive and three cars, capable of carrying 24adults or 36 children. The tracks arc built of T-rail weighing 12lb. to the yard and laid on miniature wooden ties. Three miles ofthe track is 15-in. gage, and 5 miles is 22-in. gage. The locomotivesfor the smaller gage are rated at 8K b- P- each, and those for the22-in. gage at I2j4 h. p. Visitors to the fair who arc interested in parks or pleasure resortsof .any kind, and who are looking for practical ideas in the lineof profitable attractions, will do well to watch this little railwayoutfit on any pleasant afternoon.
