Summary

Description
English: Detail of the wood engraving designed by Edward Burne-Jones for the frontispiece of William Morris The wood beyond the world (Kelmscott Press, 1894). The Kelmscott Press, founded by William Morris in 1891, is probably the most influential and certainly the most famous of all private presses. Morris revived the traditional crafts of hand-printing and handmade paper in England, and took the concept of book design to a new level.
